$6 Million Workforce Innovation Fund Grant for Eastern CT Manufacturing
The Connecticut Department of Labor has received a $6 million Workforce Innovation Fund grant award from the U.S. Department of Labor. The Eastern Connecticut Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative will implement and bring to scale a customized training program that will help to address a massive need for skilled trades workers at Electric Boat and other Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA) members by providing a short-term training option to unemployed and underemployed workers unable to attend longer-term training.
